We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly committed, and motivated scientist/engineer to join the research project 鈥淏iodegradable Biopolymers Emulsion as Barrier Film for Laminated Flexible Packaging鈥�. This project, funded by the Council for Research and Advancement in Technology and Science (CREATES), is a collaboration with Polygel Organometallic (Brunei) Sdn Bhd to develop a new generation of biodegradable biopolymers from renewable feedstock. These biopolymers will be used to create environmentally friendly food packaging for both local and global markets.听

Roles and Responsibilities听

• To work under the direction of the Principal Investigator.听

• To help in conducting research activities, including planning, organising, conducting, and communicating research studies within the overall scope of the research project.听听

• To coordinate and perform independent and team activities involved in experiment, analysis, documentation, and interpretation of information/results.听

• To undertake tasks that include recording results and preparing technical reports with conclusions and recommendations.听听

• To coordinate the development of forms, questionnaires, and the application of qualitative and quantitative research techniques; write procedures manuals for data collection.听听

• To present information on research progress and outcomes to others responsible for the research project.听

• To provide guidance as required to any support staff and/or research students assisting with the research project, as agreed with the Principal Investigator.听

• To confer with the Principal Investigator in developing plans for research projects and to discuss the interpretation of results and the preparation of manuscripts for publication of noncommercially sensitive results.听

• To perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.听

Qualification听

• PhD in Material Science, Food Packaging, or a relevant Science / Engineering discipline.听

• Experience with polymers, food packaging, or materials processing is an advantage.听
