芭乐视频 is seeking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to join a temporary position as a part-time Research Assistant for Research project entitled 鈥�Sustainable Machining of Super Duplex 2507 Stainless Steel: Modelling Surface Roughness鈥�.听

听

Qualification and/or skills requirement:听

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other closely related fields. Applicants with Master鈥檚 degree in Mechanical Engineering will be given preference.听

• The appointee should have experience in CNC machining operation, design of experiment and analysis of results.听

• The appointee should have a valid driving licence.听

• The appointee should have knowledge in Minitab, Design Expert and/or a similar statistical software.听听

听

Applicant should possess the following:听听

• Strong communication skills, in both oral and written English.听听

• Strong track record of research and publication in journals and/or conferences in the related area.听

• Interested in doing research with the proven ability to conduct research independently, writing research articles and reports.听

• A positive attitude and flexibility in working hours.听听

• Mentoring skills, a team player and able to work independently.听

• Possess good organisational skills and effective time management.听

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).听

• Willing to drive 75 -100 km every day for data collection purposes.听

• Willing to travel overseas for experiment and data collection.听

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly committed Research Assistant (RA) to join the research project 鈥�AIquatic Aquafeeder鈥�. This project is funded by UNDP and led by Principal Investigator (PI) Dr Lim Tiong Hoo.听

听

听

Roles and Responsibilities

听

听

The study aims to:听

• Develop and implement AI models for detecting prawns and feed in aquaculture environments.听

• Design, train, and validate machine learning algorithms based on real-time data from cameras, sensors, and other sources.听

• Collaborate with aquaculture experts to understand feeding patterns and optimize the feeding system.听

• Integrate AI models with hardware, including solar-powered automatic feeders.听

听

Research Assistant will be responsible for building the prawn model and analysing data for the system. Finally, the RA will assist in writing of the report and articles to be submitted for conferences/journals.听

听

Job Descriptions听

• Act as associate investigator/project leader on research project.听

• Assess, interpret and evaluate outcomes of research.听

• Resolve problems of meeting research objectives and deadlines.听

• Assist with administrative tasks related to the project.听

Person Specifications

听

Essential

听

• Bachelor鈥檚 or Master鈥檚 degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.听

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI models.听

• Experience with machine learning techniques such as computer vision, deep learning, and data modeling.听

• Able to balance the pressures of research, administrative demands and competing deadlines.听

听

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI frameworks.听
• Experience with computer vision and image recognition technologies.听

• Hands-on experience with hardware integration (e.g., sensors, cameras, IoT devices).听

Skills:

听

• Demonstrate an interest and knowledge in research.听

• Be proactive, enthusiastic and willing to learn and grow.听

听
